Facilities
All SGI computer systems utilizing the latest version of Alias and Composer;
4 Indigo 2's: 2 are High Impacts 2 gig HD, 17" monitors; 2 are Extremes,
17" monitors, 8 Indys: 4 are 180MHZ/64 MB RAM, 1:4 is a WEB FORCE,
2 gig HD, 17" monitors; 14" monitors, 1 Falcon 16 gig raid data
storage; full motion preview on station monitor, 1 Betacam SP video deck;
3 3/4" video decks; 2 1/2 video decks; 1 laser disk player; 1 audio
tape deck player/recorder. A fully equipped Power PC Macintosh lab with
15 PowerPC workstations with 17" monitors, Zip drives, Wacom drawing
tablets, CD-ROM drives and a minimum of 32 MG of RAM. The lab has a high-end
color scanners, T1 network access to the web, large format b/w printers,
color laser and dye-sub printers. Software includes current versions of
Macromedia Director, SoundEdit Pro, Photoshop, Xres, Illustrator, Freehand,
Dimensions, Extreme 3D, QuarkXPress, PageMaker, PageMill, Poser, Bryce
and others.
Art Student Body
Over 200 undergraduates in the Department of Art. 15 students in the
Graduate and over 30 Undergraduate students in the Computer Art and Animation
Program.

Deadlines and Financial Aid
Students who wish to apply for financial aid at William Paterson University
of New Jersey are required to file a Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA) with a need analyses servicer. Students may use any approved
free form from any need analyses or Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance
Agency. This application for subsequent year. Prospective graduate students
may also apply for a graduate assistantship.
Admission Requirement
Graduate
Forward a completed application form, prior to the closing date, to
the Graduate Office. Applications are available from the Graduate Office;
include with the application fee of $20 payable to William Paterson University.
Application fees are Non-refundable; Arrange to have official transcripts
of all previous college work forwarded to the Graduate Office. Official
transcripts should include evidence of a bachelor's and /or master's degree.
Candidates must meet the following requirements: a bachelor's and /or master's
degree awarded by an accredited college or university; An acceptable undergraduate
cumulative grade point average. (See appropriate program for specific requirements.);
An acceptable score on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), Miller Analogies
Test (MAT) or Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT); Recommendations
from two people chosen by the applicant.
Undergraduates
Must submit an application and fee, transcripts, SAT or ACT and portfolio
review.
Expenses
New Jersey resident: $148.00 per credit; Out of state resident: $210.00
per credit.
