About the Author
Nancy Aulie is a full-time dental hygienist who has worked in a small general practice dental office for eight years. Her responsibilities include partnering with the dentist in assessing patients’ gum health and designing and completing treatment plans to improve it. She has helped to implement and update the Soft Tissue Management Program in her office and constantly continues to learn and refine her clinical skills.  She specializes in converting dental “phobics” into enthusiastic patients who no longer dread their hygiene appointments.   Aulie received her Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She resides and practices in Austin, Texas.
