Abby Lovett
Contrary to common ideas about the PR industry, the Career Diary of a Publicist is not a book about an inter-office romance, it is not a tell-all and neither the author nor her boss wears Prada. The book is a serious commentary on what makes -- or breaks -- publicists and their PR programs. Written by a corporate communications professional, it provides a depth of information about the PR industry and the qualities and behaviors of successful PR pros. Despite the fact that no month is "typical" for professionals who work with the news cycle, the Career Diary of a Publicist offers a 30-day glimpse of what one might expect working in the PR industry.
